I am getting a lot of Newton rings when I do silver contact prints (bizarrely, they never seem to be noticable with other processes). I am using a Bostick and Sullivan frame and mostly Ilford HP5. Does anyone have any suggestions?

You can use anti-Newton ring glass in your frame or you can use the cheap way by replacing the glass with white plexi. This will cost you a couple of stops, but for silver contact printing, that isn't usually an issue. It also means you can't see the neg for dodging and burning.
