Good news about maybe more movie stocks into 35mm, 120 and even ...gasp... 220! This is in an email newsletter they sent me today:

"We have completed proof of concepts for 100’ 35mm spools, 120 medium-format films using 65mm films, and most excitingly, using that same 65mm for 220."

Disclaimer: I have absolutely no commercial affiliation with Atlanta film. I'm just a happy user of their Euphoric 100 color slide film, which is re-spooled Ektachrome 100D movie stock.

That's cool to hear, always good to have extra options. I hadn't heard of Atlanta film before your post but I'll definitely have to give some of their stuff a try. The Koji 125T film they have listed on their site looks interesting.

Can I ask why Atlanta film sent you this news? Is it simply that you are a customer and it has sent such news to all its customers?

Thanks

Yes it is a mass marketing email titled "New Blog Post: Atlanta Film Co. is Growing!". I have bought from them so my email is on their mailing list.

Mine too, it gives me only three exposures less than 35mm, with medium format. (I only shoot 35 frames on 35mm, for film-paging purposes.)

Get a different format film storage page.

The possibility of a new 220 film on the market?
That gets my attention!

I wonder if Atlanta has found a way of doing this with a mechanised system?. It would seem that both Ilford and Kodak have ruled out 220 on the grounds of both lack of demand vis vis the cost of replacing the expensive equipment needed to do it. Clearly both have ruled out production by largely hand due to cost v demand but the Chinese do it somehow but we know not with what equipment

Maybe Atlanta will largely hand produce 220 as well?

$14.49 a roll for E6 film is...almost unbelievable! I think I'll pull a Sirius and order a bunch to keep it away from the hoarders.

Kudos on your actions. I like your use of the technical term.
