Hi people!

my name is Elia Freddi, I live in the wonderfull Dresden (Germany) and I come from Italy.
I have just subscribed this forum, I found it through some page of photo.net.

I make photos since several years, almost only in b&w that I process with home made brews (I love to play with chems and pots!).

I use a Contax Aria with prime lenses and since few months also a Leica M6 and an Hasselblad 500C/M. Now many 2nd hand professional cameras are available at reasonable price, THANK YOU DIGITAL!!!!!!

My preferred subjects are everyday family life, working or strolling people, cityscapes, and whatever catchs my attention. Alas I'm not so good in printing, so many images remain on the film

Elia, welcome from Sydney Australia. I have just started printing images of my children's first few hours/days after birth (now aged 23, 21, 19) and they are priceless now that I know how to print properly! If they were (theoretically) taken digitally I doubt I could find or use them. Good old tri-x, HP5 and simple chronological negative filing system. I hope you will learn a lot here.

I'm also a new person here.

My name is Ric and I live in Minnesota. I've been a B&W photographer for 30 years now, and been shooting 35mm or medium format camera's. Just for my personal work now, not as commerical work any more. I found this website from a friend (yesterday) and was surprised that I haven't found this page before.

In addition to a "regular" daily job, and I also teach an Adult Ed class for B&W Photography/Darkroom at a community Art Center for 10 years. Love that teaching gig... just wishing that more people still want to shoot film. Digitial snapshooting is taking a toll on people would still think that B&W is art.
