Hi,

Apologies if this may sound stupid...I just want to make sure that I'm using the right measurements.

Example, for paper, the recipe for stock solution is:
1/2 gal water + 16 oz Solution A + 1 3/4 oz Solution B (Hardener) + more water to fill 1 gal.

If I'll skip using the hardener, do I use more of Solution A or more water -
do I then use 17 3/4 oz of Solution A or not? I'll be using VC paper, btw.

Appreciate all your help.

Thanks,
Annie

Good Evening, Annie,

Dave is right; just make up the minor volume difference with water. Whether you use VC or graded paper shouldn't make any difference at all. Most people use the hardener only for film fixer, and some omit it even there.

Agreed. I just add the additional volume as water
