If you go to WWW.Carlzeiss.de and click on camera lenses ypou will see that Zeiss has introduced for the Nikon F mount a 25mm f2.8, 35mm F2, 50mm & 100 F2 macros. For the M mount they have introduced a 21mm F4.5 and an 18mm F4.

Leica has introduced a 28mm 2.8 Elmarit ASPH..Erwin puts has a test report.

Nikon F and Leica M have never had such a wide choice of good quality optics before. I wish Zeiss would manufacture film and paper.

Just ordered a M mount 35/2 from them. Tempting is the 50/f1.4 F mount, too!

Some of us wouldn't be able to afford it.

LOL... WHat do you mean? WOuld be to exacting standards and cost $30 per roll of 24 B&W, and $45 for color! :surprised:

These were long in the works - and there was a long "teaser" by CZ last Winter.

It got frustrating, to say the least!

But if these lenses have now, finally, been released then, yes, it is a great day for us Nikon shooters.

*Note, some lengths are made by CZ in Germany, others by Cosina in Japan. Expectation is that they are all equally as good.

Yup - for the CZ lenses in Germany, the prices are at a Leica level, the rest are more reasonable!

And for the M mount - the 35/2 lens is the sharpest I've seen for 35mm. I can only imagine what the F mount is?
