In case anyone is interested I will be on a repeat broadcast of "The Souls of New York" this Sunday, at 2:00 PM on the local PBS Channel 13. For the last 12 years I have extensivly climbed and photographed the great bridges of New York City. I ONLY USE FILM, from 35 mm to 8x10 and would not even think of using digital. Opps, I said the "D" word. Next year the GWB and Bayonne Bridge will be 75 and I will be directly involved with planned festivities. My website is www.davefrieder.com

Sadly we won't be able to see it in the UK either - I'd realy love to see it.

As I'm from Newcastle, I have a thing for bridges and rant on about them occasionally. If you're ever in the UK, you must visit Newcastle as it has many bridges (at least 4 of which are of architectural signifigance) within about half a mile of each other.

I'll be having a more serious look round your website in the next day or so... It looks wonderfull.

Dave,
I'm curious if you have access problems, post 9/11?

I was photographing near the Lincoln Tunnel with my view camera not even pointed in the direction of the tunnel and the Weehauken cops and PAPD ordered me to cease and desist. I hadn't yet taken a picture, I wonder if they would have tried to confiscate my film.
Take care,
Tom
