I saw these for sale NEW and was curious. Looks like there was a Kikstarter to get these. I see you can order one through B&H too.

Please merge this thread if there is already one. I did search for "MF-2" and "Novella" and did not find anything on phototrio.

Just ordered one from Amazon A hundred bucks + shipping. has 38 3.5 lens, although there is second finder that suggests a rangefinder looks to a fixed focus camera, manual wind, wont know more until it arrives. .

Yes, I think it is a Lomo-type camera but it does have a meter and likely is light-tight.

I'm still a little confused if it is a "blurry" lens or a "sharp" lens camera. Some triplets are very sharp, but of course would need a focus ring.

Also, looks like a real CDS cell. That is pretty retro.

I got mine yesterday, sending it back, a total fraud. The lens is fixed aperture and shutter speed the so called DX coding is a stip of metal without an electronic, the insutction state that the camera will set ISO for 100, 200 and 400 and defaults to 100, just a lie, The CDS cell is a fake, and flash did not work.

Wow. So someone stole the Yashica name and put it on a pice of junk. Thank for posting so someone else does not make that mistake.
Way better to get a used real Yashica. They made some great cameras and lenses.

From Wikipedia:

Yashica was a Japanese manufacturer of cameras, originally active from 1949[1] until 2005[2] when its then-owner, Kyocera, ceased production.

In 2008, the Yashica name reappeared on cameras produced by the Hong Kong-based MF Jebsen Group.[2] In 2015, trademark rights were transferred to Yashica International Company Limited and appointed 100 Enterprises International Group Co. Limited as Yashica Global Sole Agent.

It seems this camera is a product of the "100 Enterprises" group.

Not their first scam with the Yashica name: https://petapixel.com/2018/10/18/yashicas-unexpected-y35-digifilm-camera-is-unexpectedly-bad/

But I do not get this anyway.
At least something alike the original Yashica I could have got at fleamarkets for 3€. Why as Apugger should I pay about 100€ for a re-issue (assuming that it was)?

It's a cheat, they are passing off a simple toy camera a new fully functioning camera with DX coding, meter, and from the picture a rangefinder. I don't expect to get my money back.

This is the same outfit that had a Kickstarter campaign for a ‘digi-film’ camera that looked in the promo a bit like an old GSN. When the backers started to get the ‘rewards’ they turned out to be junk. That was their first KS campaign and they had over 6K backers. Their next two KS scams met the goal but only suckered about 400 backers.
Kickstarter is a willing partner in these scams but collect their 5% cut of the take without any legal consequences.
Even so, I don’t hate Kickstarter, that adjective is way too mild. Cannot think of one bad enough to describe my feelings toward them.
