I saw one seller on Ebay already offering the Yashica film, there may be more. It's only available in 24 exp. as far as I can tell. My guess is it's just rebranded 'something', but what that something is is the question.
Has anyone seen an actual box of the new Yashica color negative film and noticed the country of manufacture on the box? No product photos online I've seen show that side of the box. Just curious of the country, as that would pretty much identify the manufacturer. Thanks!
What was it that was done in Photoshop? Any chance that the original film cassette was a hoax then but just one that for whatever reason preceded the real thing? I use the phrase "the real thing" because there is at least one report of a seller having stock of this new Yashica filmI remember something about this a year or so ago.
I also remember this photo from around the same time. Not a good use of Photoshop.

Whatever it is, it is not inexpensive and far from a bargain. One seller on Ebay has the 'regular' Yashica 400 2x24 exp. rolls for $22.00 and the 'Golden 80s' 400 2x24 exp. rolls for $25.50 (American). Granted, that includes shipping, but two or more Kodak or Fuji 36 exp. rolls can be had for that price.
