Here is a new website featuring small and large format portraits, landscapes, and architectural studies. The images are all in black and white, and include both infrared and panchromatic works. Click on the thumbnails to see enlarged versions of the photographs along with comments and technical notes regarding the making of each image. Comments of any nature regarding the photographs of the site itself would be appreciated. Thank you.

Lovely images on your website Ner.

May I ask what a 'transitional' image mean?

Cheers,

RJLam -

Thanks for taking the time to look at my site and for the kind compliment. Thank you also for your question. As I explain on page 10 ("Technical Notes & Other Information") of my new site, I refer to my 4x5 images as "transitional images" because they essentially represent the intermediate step (i.e., transition) between 35 mm where I began, and 8x10 where I now stand. They are, in effect, pictures in the progression from one format to the other. I hope this answers your question. Again, thank you for your interest.

I have, by the way, recently changed the home page to give viewers a better indication of what follows behind the home page. It might be worth another look for that reason. If the site is still in your cache, you may have to refresh it to see the changes I refer to. You should see one large picture, and several smaller thumbnails (previously, there was only the one large image on the home page).
