Hi Apug.

I thought I'd share my updated website.
I've just finished my second project "Promised Land" which took the better part of five years to make.
I'm currently looking for publishers/galleries to represent the project.

Anyway here's the link:

Enjoy

are you looking for feedback on site design?

Feedback on website design or otherwise (good or bad) is of course always welcome, but initially I just wanted to share what was hopefully some valid photographic work, with maybe a clap on the shoulder or two thrown into the mix
(in the end aren't we all looking for some recognition)

being totally objective about website design I think there is a problem in that the main images cause the need for scrolling to see the thumbnails properly.
These days using a scaleble main image size so that page fits the device screen is the norm. And site won't work well on phones and small tablets or IPads without having to use zoom a lot which is a real pain.
Also looks like you have done nothing in the way of SEO so that people can actually find your site. There is no text on home page and images contain no reference text so next to nothing for a search engine to index.

Hi
Thanks for the feedback.
There is actually a separate smartphone version, so it is easily viewable on tablets and smartphones.
Good points about the SEO and the scalable image size. I will have to look into that.
Best Regards

I tried IPhone emulation in IE and it obviously doesn't work for some reason which is why I thought it wouldn't work on smaller devices. Emulation works in Iron though so I can see there is a mobile version.

Well, before launching it I've tried it on a 12" macbook air, a 24" iMac, an iPad air, an iPhone 6 + a sony xperia z2, and it looks good to me on all those platforms

Hi Motocross.
Thanks for the kind words. I really like the simplicity of the site as well. I'm glad you also see that the photographs are the main focus.
Best Regards
Mads

Thanks. Well, both the projects I've done was done while working full time teaching + trying to raise a family. But for me it's something I need to do, It's more a compulsion than a choice for me really.
Best Regards
Mads
