I wonder if I can let you know about a new book of mine that is due out this summer please?
I confess that it is a while since I was active in APUG, but that is only because of other time constraints. Too long in front of the computer means less time in that red light environment that we all love!

Some of you will know this from my newsletters, but this is an image book that that I have been working on for some years on Iceland. All toned black and white prints plus a touring exhibition. I'm excited by this project and really pleased to share it with you.

Being totally analogue I'm not the most internet-savvy person around ! I only use FB, so if you would like to share it on other spaces (is that the right term?!) please do. Details are here http://www.timrudman.com/content/iceland-book

Thank you.

Congratulations! The write-up for your new book makes it sound like something to really look forward to seeing (and even better to own!)

That's really fantastic news. I have seen so much come out in recent years about Iceland, and as good as some of it is, I keep thinking to myself 'when is someone going to make some beautiful monochrome prints about this?'

Well here it is.

I have several of your books Tim (some were scarce as Chicken's Lips) and I would love to see the exhibition and own the book. Are there any details about pre-orders? I get a lot of my books from beyondwords, will they receive stock?

I don't do Facebook and I'm sure you post information there but I have just now subscribed to your newsletter mailing list.

Good luck with your new work.

Thank you all!
There are no pre-order details yet as I don't want to take any payments until launch is closer. But I am keeping a mailing list for anyone who wants to be informed about progress when the time comes. just send me an email if you would like to be added - or join my mailing list. I also have some very tentative plans re some of the inflated price book offers out there if i can afford them and mentioned that in my newsletter, but one step at a time.

Dear All,

As always Tim Rudman is being way, way too modest, like mooseontheloose I too have an Iceland print on my wall at home and one from Yosemite as well. My wife being a true arbiter of good taste limits my understandable enthusiasms for monochrome prints... but the Rudman's are not, never have been, nor ever will be negotiable.

Tim Rudman, apart from being one the very finest photographers in the UK today, is without doubt one of the absolutely very best 'self taught' photographic printers and a true lith and toner magician, without doubt the best I have ever seen, to have had a career outside of photography as well as produce, and continue to produce such a body of work is remarkable and testament to his love of the darkoom as well as to the photography itself.

Tim Rudman as far as I am concerned is a National Treasure.
