New system question

Well, @eli griggs Those cheap lenses include a 13.5 cm f/4.5 Tessar (in a dead Compur -- no shutter leaves or works, but the aperture is fine), that 105 mm I mentioned that covers 4x5 when stopped down and focused in (and does well enough at hyperfocal to read license plates from a block away) -- and, I'll admit it, my 150 mm Componon wasn't the cheapest 150 around, but I certainly enjoy it (especially since it pretends pretty convincingly to be a fairly slow 250-ish lens if I unscrew the front group).

Oh oh, breaking quarantine

I have been using a broken shutter 13.5 cm lens, which I feel was the original lens, wide open, with the camera shutter, I like the images I've gotten, plus I have a pair of Polaroid press lenses, a 7.5 and 12.7cm lenses in like new Prontor shutters, and I have a large Kodak Lens, that needs cleaning, and evaluation as some of the balsam appears to be separated, between the elements.

I also have a Wollensak barrel lens that might be from a copier, but I've no mounted that on a board.

Slowing down enough to work out the focal plain shutter combinations, is simple enough, back when I shot some models in the same lighting, multiple times, but on the fly, I get distracted too often and would prefer using a proper shuttered lens combination.

The 7.5cm Prontor set-up is, like the 12.7 cm, in the original box, in great condition, and I guess I should go ahead and sell or trade it for something else.

After I finish finding Filters on my list, finding one of those cheap lenses and shutters, should be my next endeavor.

So a small update on this is I first got a Mamiya press which had bad leaks. Thankfully, I was able to return it to the seller. I finally got a Mamiya RB67+grip+two lenses and see how my luck turns out. I've been shooting it for a few months and I'm very pleased with the results.

Nice. I've been building up my own RB67 kit -- got 50, 90, and 250 lenses, 2x teleconverter (barely worth using, but it was cheapish), both macro extension tubes, meter chimney and prism finders (in addition to the waist level that came with it), 6x7 and 6x4.5 120 backs (and a Graflex 22 for 6x6), and a 6x7 220 back mainly for 35mm panoramic (which was why I bought the 50 mm), and a left hand grip. Oh, and a good strap! Next up will be either a 65mm or the 127, then the 180.
