I prefer Vuescan, not because it's a much better software (actually it is - but it is a little more complex / cumbersome than Epson OEM at the same time. Anyway, that isn't the primary reason to me, see the following ->), but because I can use it for all of my scanners (Epson 2450 + Minolta Dimage Dual Scan III), and it works in all of the operating systems I run. (Windows 7 64bit, Mac OS X 10.6 and Ubuntu Linux 10.10) It seems I like stability and consistency very much! :wink:

Why don't you install the trial version and see it for yourself?

EDIT: Give yourself some time to get used to the program.

P.S. I don't think it would give significantly better results (if any) from the Epson driver, BTW...
