Does anyone make new series 6 filters?
I have some old cameras and they don't have filter threads. Old series filters are available, but even new old stock filters seem to have accumulated dirt or haze. And they are not coated, so I worry about glare.

A hundred years or so ago this post was made on Graflex.org https://graflex.org/helpboard/viewtopic.php?t=1727
I replied that the series 6 was a .8mm thread pitch. Current thread in filters use a .75mm thread pitch.
The trick is to find a good fitting series adapter then buy thread in filters to fit it or a step ring to adapt to the filter diameter you already have.
A .7mm/.75mm filter threads into a series 6 adapter 2 1/2 -3 turns, enough to hold it.

Need to determine the series size? https://graflex.org/helpboard/viewtopic.php?t=264

I was asking about the drop-in filters for the series filter holders.

I just measured a series-6 filter as 41 mm diameter, so I suspect that if you remove the glass from a 40.5 mm filter, it would fit. And 40.5 mm is still available new (I just checked Tiffen).

There are plenty of "new old stock" Series 6 filters on the market that have been stored properly and are in pristine condition. I've purchased many such examples off eBay over the last few years. Often you can tell by the condition of the cardboard box they are sold with; avoid the filters with raggedy, faded boxes.

I don't have a series vi to play with. But for a series vii a 49mm to 55mm step up ring works great as an adapter. The 49mm thread centers in the clamping ring of the series vii, so you just epoxy the two together. This lets you mount a 55mm threaded filter onto the clamping ring and screw that onto the series vii mount.

In the same way, a 30mm to 37mm step up ring works on a series v. Somewhere between those two there should be a thread size that fits right in a series vi.
