New Polaroid 180 Owner Questions...

Yesterday, I was given a Polaroid 180 camera. The camera is in beautiful condition and everything seem to work just fine. But, I know nothing about the camera. Does anyone know where I can find a manual and/or which pack fill will fit it?

Congratulations on getting that camera. The 180 is really nice in that it lets you set the exposure manually. Most other models have electronic shutters with exposure automation. Operation is pretty simple and straight forward. The Land List Dead Link Removed provides lots of information on pretty much all polaroid cameras. There's a howto page for packfilm cameras at Dead Link Removed.

As for film, Fuji FP-100C, FP100B, and FP3000B will fit, as will the now discontinued Polaroid peel-apart films. The fuji films produce very nice looking images.

You are extremely lucky! I want one of these cameras bad. It is the top of the line Polaroid packfilm camera! All of the Fuji 3.25X4.25 films will fit. Have fun!

The 180 is extremely simple and straightforward. Other than the Zeiss viewfinder and lens manufacturer, it is identical to the 195. Polaroid still has many of the manuals for the professional items still posted on the web site. Look for the much newer 195 manual. Many of today's films did not exist when the 180 was built. Even the manual for the version I now use the 600SE may illustrate the basic operation. That is the same on all of them the 180, 195 or 600SE. I know that the 600SE manual is there. Don't let the fact that it looks incredibly different stop you, every functional aspect is the same.

Had one last pack of Polaroid 667 B&W film. This Polaroid 180 camera takes great photographs, and much sharper than I had expected.

Is there a good tutorial on working with instant materials?
