Sorry to post here, but do not know were is the best place for it. And since one can see the notches of the pictures, I can ask what kind of film(s) is (are9? Kodachrome? other slide film?
Look like 4x5 Kodachrome. Most of these have surfaced here and elsewhere. Always find them to be creepily taxidermic, like most WWII propaganda pix. Somewhat surprised to see the Tule Lake shots of the "happy" Japanese-American internees--yikes!
I enjoyed seeing these. Thanks.
Most of these are made on Kodachrome - Daylight emulsion - Weston Speed 8. I used tones of this in the late 30's and the 40's.
The ones with the greenish tinge are Anscochrome I believe. I rarely used this because of the poorer color quality.
Thank you for the replies about the film type. The funny thing (for me) is, here in a forum about photography and etc, the people notice the propaganda style of the photos and the possibly stage of one and other.
And in the subsim forum, most replies were about how the airplanes/tanks looked.
