Every once in a while my inner geekdom takes over and I switch over to the Linux partition on my computer to do some things. One thing that, until now, that has kept me from spending more time on the Linux side has been the dearth of photo editing software that works well with scanning - in particular with a clone and heal tool.
Corel has introduced a new product that appears to have some of the strengths of Adobe Lightroom, and is available in versions for Windows, Mac and Linux.
I've downloaded the trial version for Linux, and it looks promising.
