I realize the camera isn't out, so there are like 3 people in the world who have handled the functional prototype.
But I watched the video by JCH, looked all over the website, etc. and I couldn't find info about whether this camera lens is threaded for filters, and if so, what size it would use? The original Rollei 35s took, I believe, 30.5mm filters, right?
I'm seriously considering buying one. It's the perfect camera for backpacking when I want to be able to come home with solid negatives to print in the darkroom. If it doesn't have filter threads, I might need to get creative to figure out how to throw a yellow filter on there.
I tend to use my first generation AF point and shoots as most have filter threads and the sensor is inside the thread. I have use push on filters on Pentax IQ zooms, but the limiting factor is no manual exposure or override for ISO and the sensor is not near the lens so using a polarizer or darker than a light yellow exposure will be under.
I agree, those who shoot only color film a provision for a UV filter would be a nice touch. Saying that, as a AF, a polarizer or color correction of special effect filter will be of limited usefulness.
I believe he said they were still making some minor tweaks to it here & there (camera was a prototype), so it might have them when its released, though we dont have that much info (spec wise) on it just the bits that's in his video. Not sure if any other info has come out from other places.
