We recently added new colors to our Nielsen metal picture frame line: Contrast Grey, German Silver & Antique Gold. German Silver is much warmer than our existing Frosted silver and some photographers prefer Contrast Grey to the Matte Black. For a limited time we selling straight and corner sample sets at 50% off for those wanting to get a first hand look at the new colors. I strongly recommend getting a sample instead of relying on the photos since both German Silver and Contrast Grey can look very different under different lights and angles.

Cheers,
Mark

If anyone is planning on placing an order for the frame samples,
or you like to be part of a group purchase, please let me know.
I am interested in a set of the samples. But, the Scottish blood
flowing through my veins won't allow me to pay $8.15 for the
standard shipping charge ...

Tomorrow ?

Camille is getting married on December 13th., 2013.
You can pick me up on December 10th., at 10:15AM.
That will give me enough time to look at the frame
samples, do a few dives, and get to Fort Myers by Friday evening.

I Would Hate To Interfere With Her Plans.

Her Brother is in the " Concrete Business " I don't want to upset him ...

Ron, I understand your concern. I just posted a 15% Off coupon in the sponsor coupon section that you can use for the samples and then use again for a metal frame order (if you order the samples asap)

Just so you know I do not believe in hiding profit in shipping and we do not. We pay Fedex more for shipping than our website charges which means that in addition to that loss, our boxes, packing material and all shipping labor is even more loss. If you have ever seen our packing you will know that we spend a significant amount of time preparing our shipments.

In the case of our samples…even at full price we lost money on those as well. I prefer that people buy them since it is difficult to know for sure if a picture frame will be right based on website photos. Although we take returns, that is just a loose loose situation for us (we scrap most returns) and our customer (return shipping charges) that I prefer to avoid.

Cheers,
Mark

If anyone wants input on the Nielsen German Silver and Contrast Grey, I have used both those colors in Neilsen frames for a number of years. They are both excellent colors with the German Silver being especially attractive with pt/pd prints and silver prints that are warm tone or high key. Contrast Grey is a warm black and works well with rich tones such as deep shadows or more contrasty prints. Neilsen frames are well made.

Hi Mark,

I certainly understand the shipping situation.
I'm in Frugal Mode at the moment, I'm pinching pennies
to be able to buy a 4X5 Color Enlarger next week.

Under normal circumstances I would have ordered one of
each sample style, and been more than happy to pay any
necessary shipping charges. Luckliy, Mr. Kamiya will be
placing an order soon, so I'll piggyback on his shipment.
