Good morning everyone. Recently joined the forum after resurrecting an OM-2S with a locked up shutter rekindled my interest in film photography. I have an OM-1 that I purchased new in 1977 with proceeds from my first part-time job and the OM-2S that my mother gave me about 10 years ago when she got her first digital camera. The OM-2 had been locked up and I was never able to use it. Pulled it out of the closet a few weeks ago and started messing about to see if I could get it working or sell it for parts on E-Bay. Found some good tips on replacing battery and reset procedures that worked and decided to keep it after all. For Olympus accessories I have the motor drive that my mother gave me along with the OM-2, and a 135mm 2,8 that I bought in 1980 or 81 from the PX at West Point. Also have a TOU Five Star 80-200 zoom that my dad bought for my mom at some point. No darkroom or developing equipment, and probably will not go that far. As I restart this hobby I'm mainly interested in B&W photography so I've been reviewing articles on filters and have placed an order for 3x36 rolls of Ilford PanF 50 to get started.

I've joined the Olympus and Monochromatic groups here on APUG, but I don't seem to be able to post. I'd appreciate if anyone could point me to the hidden "Post" button.

Thanks, and looking forward to re-learning the art of photography!

Ed

Welcome.

OM Zuiko 28mm f/3.5 is very good lens if you want to go wide.

That said, 28mm,50mm and 100mm can be a good combo covering the most of the needs.
