Hi all. I have recently re-started my interest in photography. From the 1960's to the 80's I had taken assorted photo classes, worked in a few studios, owned a small studio and then had to actually start making a living and support a family. So, now, many years later, here I am again. Using film, strictly large format (4x5) shooting whatever happens to catch my eye.

Here's one of the first images to come from a recently purchased 1955 4x5 Crown Graphic, 135mm Xenar using Arista EDU 100 in D76.

I'm still remembering things, skills and techniques from the past, including some of the mistakes I made back then.

Anyway,
Best regards.
Jerry

nice

Nice photo of the flowers in your front yard -- or whatever. I have a Crown Graphic that I am putting together from various parts. I call it my FrankenGraphic. Hope to get some good stuff like this one fairly soon.

Well, you have to start somewhere; front yard, back yard, side yard, etc. One of these days, I'll get into the car and really find something interesting. But not too far.
Good luck with FrankenGraphic.

Welcome to APUG Jerry Parker,

I know a good place for pictures. Hike to the waterfall in Holy Jim Canyon. Park at the junction of Holy Jim and Trabuco Canyon... Shoot the cabins along the way... If you can, chat with owners. Bring water (or filter), there is a spring box up the Trabuco road a few yards to the right of the junction but better to have your own than try to find a secret watering spot.

Lots of great looking cabins and rustic-type stuff up there as well as Santiago and Mojeska Canyons. We used to drive 4wd's up Holy Jim back in the 60's. Memories kinda fuzzy, but I'm sure we had a good time.

Welcome to the forum Jerry. I enjoy shooting down in the OC occasionally, especially around SJC.
