Hey all, I'm John, and I'm from Los Angeles. I found this forum earlier today while researching medium cameras and lenses.
I've only shot 35mm film so far and wanted to make the jump to medium format. I like the ergonomics of my Nikon SLRs (FA/FM3A), and have decided to go with the supersized SLR that is the Pentax 67ii.
Plus, as a bonus, if I get the 645 adapter ring, I can use most 67 lenses with a future 645NII purchase. If you could only have three primes for your Pentax, which ones would they be? From my research, it seems like the 55, 105, and 16appearem to be a very well-regarded trio.

Welcome aboard John!
I shot with both a Pentax 67 and 645 and loved them both. for the 67 I had the 55, 75, 90, 135, and 200 for the 645 I used the 45, 55, 75, 135 and 300. You really can't go wrong with any of the lenses, they are all excellent. I would go with the focal lengths that you use the most with your 35mm Nikon's converted to the format that you are using. My favorite focal length for my 35 was 35mm so I really liked and used the 75mm on 6x7 quite a bit. The 90mm is a great normal lens for me, just slightly wide from normal, so I used that one quite a bit too. For the 645 I really liked the 55 and the 135.

Welcome to Photrio, John. I have little experience with 6x4.5, but plenty with 6x7. I do have a couple of 645 cameras, the Mamiya 645 Pro, and the other a Holga... I'm a wide angle guy. The Mamiya (it was given to me by my wife's uncle in Japan last June), and I have yet to take it out for a spin.
