Hello everyone,
first I want to apoligise in advance for my poor English, please be understanding...
I am an amateur photographer who used to shoot digital since two years ago, when I almost completely switched to analog.
Honestly I can't remember why I bought my first film gear (Olympus OM1 and OM20 plus several zuiko lenses in block), maybe because of my incurable GAS. Since then I expanded my collection of cameras, and disgusted by the quality of the prints from local lab I learned to develop B&W film by my own and finally, on last Christmas day I made the very first print in my darkroom....
I still have not seriously asked myself why I am so fond of analog photography, but I think it is a mix of things; I simply like the look of analog prints better then digital ones, I love the control over the whole process from the exposure to the final print, I love to have prints without the need of a printer, I find the cameras sexy . I am by nature disordered and little methodical, and the analog process, with its need of method and control at each step is a challenge for me. Ok, I just realised I am doing self-psychoanalisis...
