New member from Hawaii

Recently retired professional photographer. I became interested in high school around 1960. Went to colleges earing AA, BFA, AND MFA degrees with photography as a major. I’ve taught photography and worked professionally as a photographer. Recently I’ve started working in digitsl infared photography for myself. Came across this forum recently and am enjoying this new source of information.

Welcome to Photrio. Hawaii is especially enjoyable to photograph because there are some many things to photograph and so many ways to photograph them. If one takes one subject and varies the composition approaches, focus, lens choice and exposure, a lot of film will be used before one wants to change the subject.

Welcome aboard! I grew up in Hawaii (Kailua, Oahu), so we could probably talk some stories. What part of HI are you in?
