I spent a lot of time with manufacturers, one with the module shown, and they couldn't advise the use of these for an enlarger light source. There were so many reasons I couldn't list them here. I came to the conclusion that the expensive LED heads are expensive for a reason.

I would be interested in your findings as Ontario has passed a law which in effect stops the use of the tungston light bulb in 2010.
This makes me nervous as I have invested heavily in traditional enlargers which all use tungston bulbs. I have no intention of getting rid of the gear and short of stockpiling a lifetime of bulbs, I would like to know my options.
I use the Omegas, Durst, and Deveere ... philips 250w, ELC's ELH's
Besides costs , were they of any practical use to be modified to the current enlargers?

Hmmm? Huw Finney, who has built several Luxeon based LED heads, must be the flying bumble bee then.
