NEW ILFORD PAPER

Very interesting. I wonder tho about pricing what with R&D cost plus higher energy cost. Still tho, good news on new paper.

Using fibre base paper will help considerably towards increasing the appreciation of your own prints.

Really? I've been ignoring FB papers on the theory that maybe I should wait until I don't suck at printing, but is it really going to make that much of a difference on the spot?

Even though I have never used a fiber paper: Woohoo! Thank you Ilford!

So what fiber paper should I try? I do have a small package of 5x7 ADOX MCC 110 that I want to try. What else is recommended and relatively economical to learn with? VC or graded? Most of the stuff I've shot lately is on XP2 and HP5.

There are very few graded papers left - I'd stick with VC papers as a learning tool. Until you know better how to print and how to read a negative, you'll waste more paper trying to print negatives that don't fit a particular fixed grade than you will if you have the ability to change grade mid-stream.
