Hello all. New user, old person. Main gear is M-4/3, Panasonic G9 and GX9. Also have a Sony A700, and moving to film a K1000, SRT101, and a Maxxum 7000i.
Had a Maxxum 7000 when they were first released, bought the Sony on a whim because I wanted an A mount camera and have been picking up some of the older Maxxum glass, which is how I came by the 7000i on craigslist, it was purchased for the lenses.
Now I want to try developing my own film. I've thought about it on and off since I was a kid, always ended up walking away. Looking mostly at C41 and not interested in printing at this time due to space constraints. I can scan the negatives and play with them on the computer.
One piece of history, the avatar and username come from my first photography experience. I had found a Brownie Holiday in our linen closet, parents never really took many photos as it was the age of 8mm movies. I bugged my mom to get me some film for it. Back then black and white was way cheaper, so that's what she bought me. As luck would have it there was a very rare train wreck at one of our local crossings right after I got the film. It wasn't really much a a wreck, a few cars derailed. I walked down and shot almost the entire roll of them lifting the cars back on the rails. Somewhere, although I haven't been able to locate it, I have one of those photographs. I would love to find it. This would've been between 1965 and 68, if I recall. If I could find the photo it's dated in the border.
Anyway, that's me. Will likely spend most of my time in the hybrid section, just looking at your forum sections and rules.
