I am not new to photography, been taking pictures since before high school (1957-1960), Kodak Brownie Hawkeye Polaroid B&W instant camera, tried my had with SLR when in the Philippines around 1967, first SLR was a Canon Pellix QL, and I used that off an on until 1970 in Korea, when it got stolen. Replaced it with another Canon, don't remember what Canon though, cause it got stolen too. I got a replacement for it, but think it was a Canon, but may have been a Minolta. I have a bunch of slides and film from both the P.I. and Korea, might post some it it is allowed. Anyhow, I got the itch to try to replace my Pellix, so got won on ebay, looks OK, am waiting for my first roll of color 35 negs, I don't think it is any good though, the pellical mirror apparently can suffer warping damage, and I could not see through the camera viewfinder very well., so I decided to try a Canon AE-1 program, it used the FD lenses Pellix was FL lenses as you all know already. Just got the lens for the AE-1 a 50mm f1.8 Canon, though I have yet to get the AE-1 program body I ordered. But in checking Pellix and AE-1 lens compatibility (FL & FD), came across your group, so here I am. Pics if they work are from the P.I. around 1967.
