Hello...

I wished to introduce myself to APUG.

I have been involved in photography for approx. 30 years: first as a hobby, then as a wedding & portrait photographer as well as extensive experience in Forensic & Crime Scene Photography (15 years) with Law Enforcement. I have now turned my focus to landscape and outdoor scenes; seeking to be more artistic in trying to capture natures subjects.

I shoot primarily panoramic photography (Fuji GX617 with 90mm, 180mm & 300mm lenses) as well as Macro and IR MF with a Bronica ETRSi 645 system (lenses from 30mm fisheye to 500mm along with macro 105mm & bellows attachment).

Given Murray's location, by "The Island" he probably means the Queen Charlottes . The other Island?

Hello Craig from Vancouver Island!

So are you going to tell us Canuck Apuggers where in B.C, you are from?
C'mon we're waiting! This site is a great place to be filled with lots of very helpful people. Being a subscriber is a good thing because not only do you get to support this wonderful site but you get to post your photos in the gallery and view images in the gallery.

One of my favourite activities on this site is the member organized functions. I usually participate in the postcard exchanges. You get a list of participants say 20 or 30 people, you make your 30 photo postcards, send them out to the people on the list and then you get photo postcards mailed to you from all over the world from the people on the list that you have sent to. The diversity of the postcards is fantastic.

It's a little bit of work but lots of fun and you meet people from all over the world. That's my favourite part. Also some apug members exchange prints with each other. I exchanged prints with this nice fellow from Iceland!
