Hi everyone!
I just found the forums from a friend mentioning the site on another site I regularly use. So my introduction...

My name is Daniel, I'm 17 and live in Sydney (Australia) I have been interested in photography for a number of years now. I began shooting on digital simply because that's what I had access to, I always planned to get a film SLR though.

So I got myself a nikon F55 and shot a few rolls of color slide, was nice enough to really think about each photo and get an entire roll back at once, still wasn't exactly what I was looking for though. I got a few rolls of Tmax 100 and shot those and developed and printed them myself. That is the moment I fell in love with film. For me it is all about controlling the photos from shooting to finished print. I like to use black and white for it's simplicity.

I now shoot with a bronica SQ mostly, but occasionally a 35mm SLR (F60). I do shoot digital as well, but film is my format for when I just want to go out and shoot to really enjoy it.

I look forward to spending time here and getting to know you all!

Welcome Daniel.

17 years old and already owning a Bronica, plus others, something beyond my wildest dreams at your age!

Good to see you are doing what you enjoy.

Mick.

Welcome from England. At 17 I didn't even have an instamatic let alone a Bronica. Got a lot of help from Mr Fox Talbot though! I could jump on a mail coach and be with him in as little as 3 days. Mr Mick Fagan has been pretty good as well on a bulk loading issue and faster than Mr FT and he's only just down the road from you by comparison.

In fact no-one has offered me anything but help here. APUGers as a species seem programmed to help.

Oh good, another Sydney Apugger. Welcome Daniel. Happy to help in any way. Feel free to PM at any time. I was going to say for fatherly advice because all my kids are now older than you, but that just made me depressed! At 17 I wanted to be a rock star but now I satisfy myself by photographing them. Where in Sydney are you located?
