New Enlarger (at least for me)

Silvertooth

I am now the proud owner of an Omega D5500! Someone decided that it was in the way in the garage, so they asked if our school wanted it. The journalism teacher said that we have no darkroom but there was one oddball guy at the school who still shoots film (me being that oddball) and he might want it. They dropped it off at the school just "to get rid of the thing." It is complete with owner's manual, three lenses, a 35mm negative carrier, 6 x 6, 6 x 7, and 4 x 5 negative carriers, and assorted stuff.

Now, how to get it to the house and where to put it until I figure how to re-arrange the darkroom to accomodate the thing is the next question. Looks like I need to get busy finding a 4 x 5 of some sort!

Any wisdom y'all might have on this monster is welcome!

nice problem to have - not sure what you're looking for though, and, the answer would depend on whether you married. if single, knock out the wall; if married, beg.

I am married, however, we are considering a looking for a larger house to accomodate my mother-in-law. One of the requirements my wife has for the house is a room large enough for me to have a permanent darkroom. I love this woman!! She is very encouraging of my photography, I am extremely fortunate.
