on another note. feel free to join the positive paper group. Fotokemika's Efke positive paper is also another option. I will be doing a review in the group after i put it thru its paces. Its avalable from freestyles.

The Efke paper should be the same emulsion, just an older batch still coated at Efke.

One of my Harman Direct Positive prints has received an honorable mention in Visual Overture Magazine.
Dead Link Removed was selected to appear in the winter 2010 issue of the magazine.

Dear All,

Sorry to get to this late:

5x4 and 5x4

Happy to explain this : WE MADE A MISTAKE : No excuses

We cut to the paper size not the film size as ( some ) of this paper is used directly in camera ( obviously ) we now supply both sizes.

Sorry for any inconvenience caused.

Has anyone used this to print B&W slides?

I'm wondering how it would work for printing color negatives using a panchromatic B&W internegative (interpositive?).

Haven't tried it myself. I suspect that you'll have to experiment a bit with the inter-positive to reduce the effect of the orange mask.

Cannot think of any reason it shouldn't work.

EDIT: OTOH the reduced contrast from the orange mask may be just the ticket to control the high contrast of the paper everyone reports.

Simon,

I visited the Harman Express page and I am curious about something. The RC Luster and FB Glossy are available in 127 cm x 15 m, but the RC Glossy is not. All three are available in the other sizes from 4x5 to 24.2 x 98 ft.

I am in the process of building a camera to shoot 50 x 60 (up to 80) inch images. I would like to use RC paper in the camera so that it can be processed on site. From my experience, RC paper is much easier to use in these large sizes. Any chance the RC Glossy will be available in the 127 cm roll?

I have used the Efke to print slides and it works amazingly but it must be preflashed due to high contrast.

Its finally available stateside @ freestyle!

That is great news! Thanks for the info. I was going to order some directly from Harman, but was holding back because of the shipping costs.

Edit: Just noticed that it's a special order item with an approximate delivery time-frame of 6-8 weeks...

Ouch. That puts a hamper on things. I was wanting to try it for paper negs. A 2 month wait is a little too long for me.

It comes in 24 inch rolls, that will be sweet in our 20x24 inch pinhole! I can wait for things that are worth it...

That may not be it's best application. The paper is fairly hard. I think you're better of with Ilford MGIV-RC, using a yellow filter and assuming ISO 3. That will lead to excellent paper negatives.

Me too, 6-8 weeks seems a bit long for my patience. And it also says on the website that "Additional shipping charges may apply on some items." So, I'm not really sure what this additional shipping charge could be, and how much it could be.

I am interested in experimenting with my Scala slides on this paper.
