New Digital Camera

Hello,
i'm searching for a good digital camera;
do you recommend some used and also a good goal?
I searched on the internet (ebay, amazon, ...) something but I did not find anything interesting; I found a canon eos 450 d with a 18-55 and a telephoto lens at 150 € but they already bought it: /
I ask you to link me also to the shops (in Europe) of photography.

What do you shoot now?

I'd recommend what I moved onto. A 6D mk1 with a 24-105. Barring the 24-105 get the 6D with a 50 1.8

Used the 6D can be found for about $700+ USD. If you're moving on from film it's a lateral jump. The 450D is outdated, if you want to get something comparable look for the SL1 or 550D. The 550D or T2i is still a very good camera. Ignore the kit telephoto lenses and look for some older EF lenses from the 90's and 00's. The 18-55 is a solid lens but it does not allow for exploring the depths of photography.

The Canon Rebel T series is a decent starter system. The kit zoom is plenty sharp and contrasty. If you want full frame a used Canon 5D is great or a Nikon 5000 series. It all depends on what you are interested in photographing and your budget.

I shot Canon for years. The images to me are always slightly not sharp. I sold my Canon EOS Rebel T3i and bought a Sony NEX-6 and never regretted it. For a while, Sony made sensors for Canon and one Sony exec said they keep the best sensor for themselves. The trend with digital cameras is mirrorless. I like mirrorless better than DSLRs because mirrorless cameras are more compact which is great for travel. I hate using the screen to focus on my camera. It drains the battery fast. There's no perfect camera.

Interesting site. I notice they are VERY light on Fujifilm cameras.

May I ask if you really want an SLR type camera? I'm a big fan of mirrorless cameras and unless you need a specific feature of one of the Canikons I really don't see the point of using a digital sensor together with a mirror. SLR are my favourite to use with film, but it is an anachronism with a sensor. DSLRs (and late film SLRs) are so big and ugly as well.

I other hand don't like the EVF or rear monitor for focusing, mirrorless is all very functional but I like a traditional mirror, maybe living in the desert just to bright for rear screen.

How much do want to spend?

Are you going to print, if so how large?

How old do you want to back?

Do you want a warranty?

Are there any camera shops near you? If so what do they sell?

Sigma SD 14 or 15

Full frame

Sony A850 or 900

I have no experience with Olympus or Fuji.

It's hard to go wrong with a Sony A6000. Sony's SELP1650 16-50mm "pancake" zoom isn't the best performer, but I like it because it's very convenient. The older Sony NEX3/5/6/7 -series cameras are all pretty good too.

AFAIK dxo testing does not use software that optimises Fuji digital files.

The Canons you mention (Rebel series in the US I believe) are reliable cameras that have stood the test of time. I only recently sold my 8 year old 550D and it never missed a beat. I also have Fuji and Panasonic mirrorless cameras, both are very good but the SLR camera was 50 years in development. I don't believe mirror-less cameras are built with longevity in mind, even the more expensive ones. If I was buying used on a budget I'd definitely opt for a DSLR.

I still use my 550D as a backup. Canon really punched high for a few years before someone told them that they maybe should dial it back. Kinda sad.
