New Ansel Adams Stamps

Unfortunately there is no shipping to Germany.

I have been thinking about buying a sheet of those stamps but I did not get-around to-it, but thanks to you now I have!

Bought 8 sheets, plus two sheets of the waterfall stamps. Really bummed, just mailed my water bill payment and completely forgot that I had the waterfall stamps. Next time.

Just walked down to the post office and got five sheets. They do not include my favorite AA image, but it would not of held up as well tiny like the images they did choose.

I'll have to check out the waterfall stamps!

I did order one sheet which I will frame and hang next to my small collection of Ansel Adams prints. If this sheet of stamps has commentary printed on the back as a page of Civil War stamps I have, then I will fame the Ansel Adams stamps the same way.

I wonder if the back of the stamps has the formula for D-23 or D-76 on it. THAT would be cool.

Q T Luong, from LFPF has three images in the waterfall series, he was the only photographer to have multiple images chosen for that series.

Lol, my order has been delayed with no new delivery date. That’s alright, they’ll eventually get here, my water fall stamps took a week and a half. I imagine that USPS is completely overwhelmed with orders fo the Ansel Adams stamps and are doing the best they can.

Roger

The stamps arrived today. Because today's stamp are pealable rather then wetted to apply to the mail, there is no information on the back of the sheet. I will mount the sheet in the normal manner.

Mine arrived too, I’m planning on mounting each stamp individually on an envelope and mailing them. Hopefully the recipient will appreciate the stamp, but probably not. I am saving my waterfall stamps for mailing my water bill payments, at least while I’m still in San Francisco. No water bill in Az, rainwater catchment system, free water, at least if I ignore the 8k in tanks and related infrastructure.

That's nice to know. Mine have been "in the mail" for quite a while. Maybe I'll get them tomorrow. I hope so. The prices are expected to go up in a few weeks -- I think it's to 73 cents.

I've been pondering what to do with mine. Framing the sheet never occurred to me. Thanks!

Chris

Mine just arrived today. Better late than never!

I took the sheet of stamps to get framed, matching the frames of my Ansel Adams photographs. The stamp to framing cost ratio is 10.88 : 211.02 = 19.395 with a repeat offender's discount still seems high.
