Hello.

Does anybody know the developing time of the Agfa APX 100@100 and APX 400@400 with HC110 dilution B?
I´ve tried massivedevchart and i don´t find it. Also tried searching for the pdf´s of agfa but they don´t include hc110.

Thanks

Welcome to Apug!

Well, instead of searching at Agfa data sheets, looking at Kodak data sheets from those days makes more sense to me.
Though it seems Kodak had that the HC110 processing times not online then ...

@arturo_rs You can check if massivedevchart lists times for Kentmere Pan films or Rollei RPX, which are considered to be the same as NEW Agfaphoto APX 100/400

I am puzzled !

The data of the AgfaPhoto APX in HC 110 are on the massivedevchart.

But those of the Agfa APX are not. That is why I assumed the OP actually meant what he wrote, namely inquiring on the 17 years old Agfa made APX films.

But....APX 100 pushed, not @100.

With APX 400, is true but i´ve search and i found 6 minutes vs. 8 minutes (massivedevchart). Any big diference between 6 and 8 when developing? I mean, the results might be the same?

Thanks

I see. I just saw the chart, but did not look for details, as I did not expect such chart for a standard developer to contain only push-processing results. Weird.

(One only lives once, but one better always looks twice...)

There is pretty wide consensus that these films are the same as Kentmere 100 and 400. Maybe you can find more info under that name.

I don't use HC110, but for other developers (xtol, FX-39, Rodinal, D-76) I use Kentmere 100 and 400 times for AgfaPhoto APX films with good results.

I recently shot a roll of Agfaphoto APX 100 in bright cloudless daylight and tried different things, including HC-110 (b) for 6min, 7min, and dilution (g) 1:119 60min semi stand dev.
With this first test I found 7min to be a little too much in theses particular conditions, but that should be OK with a nicer light. Of course, the density I like to get might not be what you like.

Incident reading from a sekonic light meter, standard agitation (30s first min, 10s at the start of every minutes).
Good luck !

'Never shot Agfa B&W films.
How would it compare with, say, Ilford FP4? Good grey tones?

Quick follow-up to my previous post : I shot a whole roll of Agfaphoto APX 100 and developed it in HC-110 (b) for 6.5min, it looks fine. It happen to be the time for ilfotec HC in the kentmere 100 datasheet.
