Negative pages for 6x7 shots?

So how do people deal with storing 6x7 negatives? I am used to shooting either 6x6 or 6x9. The Photofile 120-4B page handles this. Either 3 6x6 shots per row, times 4. Or 2 6x9 shots per row, times 4

But 6x7 gets me 2 6x7 per row with 2 shots left over. So I tuck them into the bottom row overlapping the other negatives. Dangerous scratch move.

Do I need to get a different Photofile page design? 3 rows, at 3 per row, still leaves a straggler negative.

I use the pages that have columns, rather than rows.
That gives room for three strips of three, plus the straggler.

Bonus for 220, as 3HB or 4UB will fit a 220 roll in two pages instead of 3. The pages are slightly oversize (8.5x11) compared to the standard 8x10" 120 pages, but the 35mm pages I use (35-6HB) are slightly oversize as well, so they all fit the same binder.

Be sure to note that you will also need the larger binders, and if you are like me need to put those binders on a different shelf than where the rest of my negative binders reside.
One of the big reasons I'd like to have a 6x8 camera.

Thanks for the reminder, Matt. I noticed that issue. I need to confirm if my binders will hold the wider pages.

If you use a Minolta MF film scanner keep in mind that the film tray will not accept film strip of 3 6x7 frames. There is only room for 2 6x7 frames.

Neither will Nikon and Epson holders...

But I still use the 120-4UB pages.

For 6x7 I sleeve 3 frames, 3, 2, and 2 frames. It is a pain but I'm used to it now.

Sounds like everyone's got you sorted on which negative pages to use. If you're proof printing black and white, that *won't* fit on to an 8x10 sheet. Ilford makes 9.5x12 inch sheets which are bigger than you really need, but work great for proofing 6x7. I print contact sheets on that size and trim them to close to the edges of the film frames.

Actually the reason why I stuck two 6 x 6 and 6 x 9; never saw the benefit of 6x7

I put the extra on the next Printfile. I'm terribly disorganized about it.
I'm surprised no one has started screaming "Glassine! Plastic is an abomination!" yet.

Same here - plus some selfprinted adhesive labels with informations (roll #; film type; ...) on the several rows of the printfile. And I use Glassine for sure !

Same issue with the Epson V850. Three negatives don't fit.

You might try 6cm roll sleeves, which can handle the over length of 6cm x ? framed negative s.

I have almost a full roll of this archive material and can cut 6x9cm just as easily as any 6x4.5, 6x6, etc films.

Plus, if you've a mind to, you can store the rolls in a single sleeve.

I modified my Minolta medium format try to fit 3 6x7 frame strips. To scan the middle 6x7 frame the leading frame will bump into a barrier to keep the film to reach beyond the barrier. I cut the barrier off. It's only plastic. I opened up a 6 cm wide opening out of the barrier. The film will only be about 1 cm sticking beyond the barrier and it scans just fine. So I use PrintFile 120-4UB pages too. One page will be enough for a 120 roll, two pages for one 220 roll.
