I bought this funky 12-gang wire processing rack a while back and decided to try it out with some valuable shots (yeah - I know I know....!) and it left impressions all over my negs (perhaps due to mildly oxidized wire competing for the developer). There are diagonal strips of low-density across my negs where the supports are. I was wondering, since this came from the processing, if I might be able to bleach and redevelop the negs and kind of pretend the whole problem never happened...! I'm guessing the answer is no - since that silver was probably already removed by the fixer - but maybe there's a loophole there somewhere in my knowledge of what's possible.

I'm afraid you're right. Once the image is fixed, what you see it what you've got. There shouldn't be any more re-developable silver left that is already there.
