I have borrowed a 16x20 Kostiner (sp) print washer. There is a place where something was connected but is broke off, not by me. If it is an inlet then where does the water flow out of. If it is an outlet then where does the water flow in from.

I am wondering if anyone has a water flow diagram or instruction book I could look at.

From what I can tell it seems to be an inefficient design, but with out some knowledge of how to use it I may be wrong.

p.s. I do know how to use a print washer. :D

Thanks

Gary

As I recollect the Kostiner was designed to sit in the sink & basicaly allowed to overflow into the aforementioned sink.

A picture would be helpful. My 16x20 Kostiner has three hoses, an inlet and drain near the bottom and an upper hose handles the over flow. There may have been an earlier version with fewer hoses.

I just got an 11X16 Kostoner. It has an inlet at the bottom of the unit and overflows into a square fiberglass dishpan type box that has an outflow hose to the sink about 3 inches up from the bottom. It also came with a acrylic valve /flow restricter whose use I have not figured out yet. to drain the unit it appears the inflow has to be disconnected.
I have not figured out how to drain the pan yet.

My Kostiners each have one inlet pipe on one end and two outlet pipes on the other. The lower outlet pipes have clamps on them to help maintain the flow so that water stays about half way up the larger (upper) overflow outlet. By using a combination of in-flow control and the clamp, a minimal amount of water is used and the washers do an excellent job.
