Hi! I need your opinion about how to develop a roll of Kodak Tmax 3200 that expired 2009. I used it with some sort of experiment in mind because that it's old and on top of everything it went through the airport scanning twice. The persons at the airport were not in the mood to hand check sadly.

I used it at iso 400 and I'm going to develop in Ilfotec HC. Have anybody a clue about developing time?

Thanks!
Dick

7.5min dil. B 20°c EI 400 is also the time in the HC-110 datasheet (always the first place to look !)

I doubt whether this is even worth trying. That film fogs with age, and airport scanning does not help. Gamma rays!

Yeah, I am afraid I've had very bad luck with long expired TMZ 3200. Anything more than a couple of years over the expiry date and it really does begin to deteriorate. More so than Ilford Delta 3200. after 15 years it might well need thoughts and prayers. Good luck, hopefully you'll get usable images.

Maybe it might be a good idea to take one shot at 400, one at 800, one at 1600, and one at 3200 and to develop just these few pictures to see what happens? 🤔 Then you don't waste an entire film. In a similar kind of way I plan to check one (of four) expired Ektachrome 800/P1600 that I bought a while ago.
