Hi all!

I just got myself a neat Meopta Opemus 5 and ive already produced some prints with this enlarger. The thing is, Im really not sure that im assembling the bits and pieces in the correct way... Ill try and explain:

Im using 6x6 medium and 35mm negatives.

With the enlarger came a metal frame for 35mm and 2 pieces of glass. When it comes to enlarging 6x6 do i just put the neg in between the two pieces of glass ? Thats what ive done so far...but something tells me that im doing wrong.

Regards,

Kim

You can use the two pieces of glass for 35 mm with no problem (apart from having 6 surfaces to keep clear of dust!). You say you have a metal frame (singular) for 35 mm - this sounds like the holder which accepts a mounted 35 mm slide. Avaialble as accessories are a pair of 35 mm glassless negative holders which take the place of the glasses - these are probably what you feel you need.

David

You may give Mirco at fotoimpex.de a call. They used to have some spare parts for the old Opemus 5. It is not in production any more.
