it is in great shape and ishoot regularly with it
....unfortunately the shutter is stuck at about a 30th of a sec......this is ok.....but would like a few more options....it goes up to a 75th of a sec.
are there lens boards, shutters,or lenses around for this camera......it has a bausch and lomb lens and it is REALLY FRICKIN SHARP.....does anyone shoot with this kind of cam????i love it..

It sounds like your shutter could use a good cleaning. Maybe check with S.K. Grimes Inc. http://www.skgrimes.com/ about cleaning your shutter, or take to a local camera repair shop and see if they will clean it.
As far as lenses go for your camera, you can use any number of vintage or modern lenses for it, from modern glass by Schneider, Rodenstock, Nikon, and Fuji, to classic lenses from Kodak, B&L, Cooke, etc... as long as the image circle is big enough. Check ebay for some good deals on vintage glass, they usually have a few lens boards listed for the 2D also. Hope that helps.

I have 2 lenses from an 8X10 Burke and James I just sold on Ebay. Most folks make their own lens boards. it's fairly simple for the 2D I think. My favorite affordable modern lenses for these cameras are the Schneider G-Claron series. 210mm 240mm 270mm and 305mm all fit in modern Copal 1 shutters. All of those mentioned will cover your 8X10 format. Hey, I'm just up the road in Tonopah, Nevada. I've got a 2D but it's the scarcer 7X11 format.
