Hi,

The chart of this film shows that I need to use the D-76 developer. However, the only developer i have is TMAX plain. (I use this developer for my TMAX 400)

Is there any one can help me figure out the processing time?

There's not very much on the MDC yet for Kentmere films. It looks like there's a TMAX time for Kentmere 400 but not Kentmere 100.

You might try to extrapolate from another film of somewhat similar characteristics (e.g., FP4+ has a very slightly shorter time in D-76 stock than Kentmere 100 has, so you might guess that the time for Kentmere 100 in TMAX 1+4 would be very slightly longer than the 8 minutes given for FP4+), and do some experimenting from that starting point.

My results with Kentmere 100 haven't been that great, but that may just reflect my own failings as a photographer. (Or maybe it doesn't scan very well.)

I was thinking of extraploating from the Ilfordpan 100/FP4+ films. Somewhere about 8 minutes sounds like a start for Tmax Dev 1+4. So I concur with Nathan.

I have used XTOL 1+1 for 12 minutes but I have only run a few rolls of Kentmere 100 yet so I am still closing on the target. Very nice film overall, I think. The Kentmere 400 seems to need a bit more time in the developer compared to my standard HP5+.

I'd extrapolate from FP4+. Compare the times for D76 for the Kentmere and FP4+, and then look at FP4+'s time for Tmax dev, and adjust by the percentage difference between the D76 times. Or something. Haha.

A little time doing your own tests is the best way to get this information.

thanks

thanks very much folks!
I'll cut a piece of this first roll (last 1,2 shots) then develop it for testing purpose.
I hope I will not have to throw away these Kentmere rolls
