Hi, Can I have recommendations on books about street photography. I don't want it to be just pictures, but with essays as well. :smile: Any kind of street photography is fine with me.

There haven't been many good ones that fit your description. There have been some from a historical perspective. Joel Meyerowitz & Colin Westerbeck published a book called "Bystander: A History of Street Photography'" which is excellent. More like a historical narrative and interpretation of the evolution of street photography.

For a more current look at what's going on now, this book is exactly what you describe, but it is hard to find in hardcover now. The paperback is coming out in January. I have it and think it is very good, as it really gets into interviewing these photographers about their processes and influences:
