I’m an idiot. I packed everything in my camera bag but walked out of the house without my film

Anyone know of a place to purchase film in the Durango Cortez colorado area?

Sorry to say, but your pretty much SOL. Maybe Walmart or Walgreens will have some film, but it’s going to cost you. How long are you there, and what film do you need? I can possibly mail you some 35mm Vision3 250D, or a roll of Aviphot 220, if you’d like.

Maybe Camera & Darkroom in Santa Fe can Fedex you some..... alternately it's a pretty photogenic drive from Durango. One of my favourite stretches of road.....

Walmart, Walgreens, CVS, and Target all sell film in general. It being in stock is hit or miss these days, and the prices can be a bit high, though I bought a 3 pack of “new” (aka Kodak) Fuji 400 at a rural Walmart a few weeks ago for $25, which isn’t crazy. Also, they will of course only have 35mm and Instax/Polaroid film, not medium or large format.

You could also have one of the big online stores rush ship some to your hotel depending on how long you’ll be there.

I just checked, and the Walmart website claims the Durango Walmart has 5 Fuji 400 3-packs in stock for $24.99 each.

If Colorado Springs was clover, you could go to Cameraworks, they have tons of film. Unfortunately, seems like Walmart is the only option here.

Unfortunately, the OP did not specify what format film is needed. That this thread was posted in sub-forum for "Medium Format Cameras and Accessories" may or may not be significant.

& we haven't heard back from him in days.....

Camera & Darkroom in Albuquerque had a bunch of both 35 and 120 on the shelf yesterday when I was in there.

Still a really long drive down there, I doubt they’ll have time to do that drive.

The owner is a good friend. He might be willing to send it to him, of course for a fee. He sells a lot of stuff on ebay so is set up for it. Of course by now it might be a moot point. And of course he's closed tomorrow for the holiday.

You are right. I did not specify but yes I would have needed MF film. Albuquerque is a long way in the wrong direction. love camera and darkroom. Loved the Old digs more. Bought my first LF lens there.

I did not drown. Just trying to get stuff done for mom before getting to play today and the next few days. I have my digital camera and I’ll have to use that. It was Supposed to be the camera my son used while I used the 6x6 and 6x9. Oh well. Maybe we can take my dad’s camera into the mountains tomorrow. Not sure mom is ready for someone else to use dad’s stuff Though.

thanks for the suggestions.
