Well, I finally got my new MacBook Pro M1 and have been getting used to it, kinda. Never having anything Mac before and this is all new to me. I'd like to run my Nikon 8000 scanner on the MacBook using my newly purchased Vuescan Pro software. My scanner is at the cottage, and I'm at home down south at the moment. I do plan on going north after Sunday and would like to get things up and running. Anybody running a similar setup? I can use some good advice as to how to work this setup. I have purchased all the cables I need, so I should be good in the hardware department.

If you have TB3-TB2 adapeter + TB2-FW adapter + FW800-FW400 cable then just plug it in and start Vuescan.

Yes, I have those cables and it sounds simple. I sure would love to run NikonScan, but this is better than nothing. Thanks!

I prefer it to Vuescan for 'good out of the box' C41 colour negative inversions, and vastly better ICE drivers.
