I thought that I would ask here since I am looking for a good repair shop for my black Minolta XD-7 ... the rewind knob assembly has partially separated from the body ... plus it could use some CLA, too. I thought of Garry's, but having never used them, I do not know if they would take on this type of repair.
I would probably send in my XE-1 for CLA as well.
Any advice and/or previous experiences? Thanks in advance for any input. Cheers, J
Sorry for the terse reply. I was on the train and typing on the little virtual keyboard...what an amazing time we live in!
Anyway, John Titterington is THE guy to service Minolta manual focus cameras. His rates are very reasonable and turnaround time is usually about a week or two.
He seems to travel from time to time...and may be semi retired (pure speculation) so, I'd suggest sending him an email before blindly sending him your cameras.
He resides in...Kansas...or someplace in the middle part of the the United States.....

I recently had Mr. Titterington overhaul a Minolta SRT-101 that had been idle for over 20 years. He does good work at a fair price. The cameras he puts on his eBay site sell pretty quickly.
