Need a photographer's name

I have been kicking myself all day trying to remember a portrait photographer's name. Can some one help?

Photographer's info:
African American male
Photographs inner city kids in color
did a fantastic series with the polaroid 20x24
First initial is D
Last initial is B I think



Once something gets into my head and I can't figure out what I should know, I obsess.
