Do you know a company who can coat bare glass with narrow band coatings for a set of pictures of same scene which will be colored false and stacked .
Astronomy people uses these coatings but I focus in to minerals and other subjects here.
I need a company who can do this suprisingly cheap .
So you want a company to make for you custom interference filters, CHEAP? First look at prices of standard, off-the-shelf components here: Dead Link Removed
(and elsewhere in their online catalog). 25mm diameter: $99, 50mm diameter: $245.
Don't know if that fits your definition of "suprisingly cheap". For 50mm diameter, definitely more expensive than the average photo filter, even from B+W.
Randy, maybe change your handle to cineworker11811 or similar.
I appreciate all the projectionist/cine knowledge you share and it will remind me when I inevitably need a more specialized answer for something up your alley.
Photography and projection are virtually the inverse of each other. Many concepts that apply to one, apply to the other only backwards.
There are also times when people have had questions or problems in the projection booth and a concept from traditional photography helped solve the problem.
BTW: "Worker 11811" is a character from the movie "Metropolis."
