My new Epson V750 is at Mexico city's airpot customs, will be delivered in two days.

I tried to buy an Aztek Kami kit to start my wet mount scanning experience, and discovered that it can't be shipped to Mexico due to that the fluid is rated as hazardous material. As far as I can know, there is no distributor of this can of products in the country.

The mylar is easy to find, but there is no such thing as scanning fluid. In a search in the web, and in this forums, I found that some people uses materials like lighter fluid or baby oil instead of the Kami or Scanscience products. Anyone can tell me about it's experience using this things?

Dont use lighter fluid. Static can set it off and well, you get the idea!
Baby oil will ruin some films and probably the bed of your scanner. It has fragrance and many other impurities and chemicals that should never come in contact with film.

Prazio might be able to ship to you. www.prazio.com

Mineral oil has been used in the industry for years with great success.
The only issue i found is the Kodak E-6 G films tend to absorb some of it.
It can also ruin film but to a lesser extent. You will have to try it for yourself to see if it will work for you.
