What is the name of technology If we print hundreds of dots or curved lines or combination on to transparent film and using as a lens ?
I looked to diffractive optics , they are relief but may be there are flat ones also ?
I read you can split the incoming light with that technology. If we want to use above as lens , there are pin sieves but what would be the composition , focal lenght if we try to make a cylinder lens for ultra large format. Would be the lens diameter is stricted to few milimeters radius or can it be may be 6 inches diameter or rectangular form ?
And would it be possible to make a copy of good lens transfer function or psf.
